About Attaching a File to a Discussion
Use the same steps to reply to a discussion post, or reply to another’s response in a discussion thread. Once you select "Reply," the Rich Content Editor opens up. You have the option of attaching a file to your discussion reply.
Attaching a File Using the Attach File Link
-
-
- Select the Attach link with the paperclip icon in the bottom-right of the Rich Content Editor.
- Select "Choose File."
- Your device’s hard drive will open.
- Search for your file and select the file name.
- Select "Open" or "Upload" depending on your device’s operating system (a Macbook Pro is used in the demonstration).
-
Note: Your instructor may not allow file uploads to some discussion replies.
Attaching a File from Google or O365
-
-
- Select the Apps icon.
- Select Google Apps or Microsoft Ofice 365.
-
Files may be added from your Google or Office365 account if one or both of those tools have been turned on in your course. Or, you can add a file from your device using the Attach File link.
